About Cheez-It Crackers

Introduced in 1921 by the Green and Green Company in Dayton, Ohio, Cheez-It began as a small square cheese cracker made with real cheese. Sunshine acquired Green and Green in 1932, followed by Keebler in 1996 and Kellogg in 2001. Cheez-It later became part of Kellanova when Kellogg separated its snack business in 2023. Mars acquired Kellanova in December 2025, making Cheez-It part of the Mars Snacking portfolio today. More than a century after its introduction, Cheez-It has expanded well beyond the original cracker with additional flavors, mixed crackers, Grooves, Snap'd, and other snack styles.

Cheez-It Flavors and Snack Types

We carry Original, White Cheddar, Cheddar Jack, Extra Cheesy, Extra Toasty, Extra Crunchy Bold Cheddar, Hot and Spicy, and Pepper Jack, along with several other Cheez-It products. Duoz combine Cheddar Jack and Baby Swiss or Sharp Cheddar and Parmesan in the same bag, while Grooves come in Sharp White Cheddar and Zesty Cheddar Ranch. Snack Mix is available in Original and Double Cheese, and Snap'd options include Double Cheese, Sharp White Cheddar, and Cheddar Sour Cream and Onion. Grooves joined the Cheez-It lineup in 2014, followed by the thinner and crispier Snap'd crackers in 2019.
