About Retro Sours Candy

Retro Sours Candy was launched by Iconic Candy in 2024 as a revival inspired by the intensely sour fruit candies once sold as Altoids Sours. Original Altoids Sours debuted in the early 2000s in round metal tins and developed a loyal following before being discontinued in 2010. Years of petitions, online discussions, and demand from nostalgic candy fans helped keep interest in the discontinued candy alive. Iconic Candy, a family-owned company known for bringing discontinued and nostalgic sweets back to stores, recreated the experience under the Retro Sours name. Iconic Candy states that Retro Sours is not affiliated with Altoids, Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, or the original manufacturer.

Retro Sours Flavors & Candy Tins

We carry Retro Sours in Apple, Citrus, Mango, Passionfruit, Raspberry, Tangerine, and Watermelon flavors. Each flavor features small, puck-shaped hard candies with an intense sour coating followed by a sweeter fruit flavor, packaged in the round aluminum tins associated with this style of candy. Iconic Candy currently sells Citrus, Mango, Passionfruit, Raspberry, Red Apple, Tangerine, and Watermelon, giving the revived line a mix of familiar flavors and newer additions.
