Orange followed in 1974, and by the 1980s, Tic Tac was being sold across five continents. Classic Tic Tac mints are produced through a surprisingly detailed process that takes about 24 hours, with each small candy gradually coated in approximately 100 layers. Ferrero operates Tic Tac production internationally, including a major manufacturing facility in Cork, Ireland, where the company says Tic Tac flavors are crafted and coated layer by layer. Ferrero now sells its brands in more than 170 countries worldwide.
