About Brach’s Hard Caramels (Formerly Nips)

Nips Hard Candy was introduced by Pearson Candy Company in the early 1960s, beginning with Coffee Nips and later expanding into Caramel and other flavors. Ownership later passed through W.R. Grace, Nabisco, and Nestlé. Ferrara acquired the brand through Ferrero’s purchase of Nestlé’s U.S. confectionery business in 2018 and eventually replaced the Nips name with Brach’s Hard Caramels. Current packaging carries the Brach’s name while continuing the familiar hard caramel candy line.
