Nips Candy

Nips Candy launched in 1961 and became well-known for its creamy texture and iconic flavors. The Pearson Candy Company originally produced it and later passed through multiple owners, including W.R. Grace Company, Nabisco, and Nestlé. In 2018, the Ferrara Candy Company, a Ferrero subsidiary, acquired Nips by purchasing Nestlé’s US candy business, incorporating it into its growing portfolio.

In 2023, Ferrara rebranded Nips under Brach’s name to align the product with its established candy lineup. The candy is now sold as Brach’s Hard Caramels, featuring updated packaging with the Brach’s logo while retaining its original recipes and smooth texture we all know and love! Despite the branding change, the flavors that made Nips famous remain unchanged. This rebranding was part of a larger effort to simplify and unify Ferrara’s product offerings.

Today, Brach’s Hard Caramels are available in Butter Rum, Coffee, and Caramel flavors. They can be found in stores nationwide but are always available here at Candy Retailer for the best price! Any remaining Nips-branded packaging likely indicates older inventory. Consumers are advised to check expiration dates on these products, as they predate the 2023 rebranding under the Brach’s label.
