About Washburn Candy

Washburn Candy traces its history to 1856, when Francis B. Washburn expanded the Washburn Bakery in Brockton, Massachusetts, into confectionery production. Early success with coconut candy eventually led the company into candy bars, followed by the old-fashioned hard candy that became its specialty. Washburn later concentrated entirely on hard candy, becoming especially known for Dad’s Root Beer Barrels, Sour Balls, Beauty Pops, lollipops, peppermint candy, and seasonal Ribbon Candy. After operating in Brockton for generations, the assets of F.B. Washburn Candy were acquired by Roses Brands, which continues the Washburn candy legacy using the original recipes. Washburn is now managed through Roses Brands’ operation in Canajoharie, New York.

Washburn Hard Candy, Filled Candy, & Flavors

Our Washburn Candy selection can include traditional hard candy, filled candy, Ribbon Candy, cinnamon balls, chocolate-filled candy, fruit-flavored candy, mints, barrels, Sour Balls, and other old-fashioned sweets as they become available.
