About Canel’s Candy

Founded in 1925 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Canel’s began by producing chewing gum and fruit preserves before expanding into one of Mexico’s major confectionery companies. The privately owned Canel’s Group now produces bubble gum, hard candy, soft candy, jelly beans, gummies, fruit chews, caramels, toffees, lollipops, mints, and other sweets. Canel’s reports that it has maintained leadership in Mexico’s sugar-gum market since 1990 and currently operates four candy manufacturing facilities in San Luis Potosí. The company has also expanded beyond Mexico, supplying Mexican candy and gum to markets worldwide.
