Rose’s Brands traces its candy-making heritage back to 1880 and today operates from Canajoharie, New York, in the Mohawk River Valley. Its confectionery history includes several long-running American candy traditions, including Dryden & Palmer Rock Candy and Richardson’s soft sugar mints. Thomas D. Richardson began selling his pillow-soft peppermint mints in Philadelphia in 1893, while Dryden & Palmer became known for rock candy during the late 1800s and later helped popularize rock candy on a stick. Rose’s Brands now brings these historic candy styles together with more than 140 years of confectionery experience.
