About Sweet's Candy

Sweet Candy Company was founded in Portland, Oregon, in 1892 by Leon Sweet and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1900. More than 130 years later, Sweet's remains an American-owned, family-operated candy company, with third, fourth, and fifth generations of the family involved in the business. In 1999, the company moved into a 180,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility near Salt Lake City International Airport, where Sweet's candy continues to be made today. Sweet's now produces and distributes more than 250 candy products while remaining especially associated with salt water taffy, Cinnamon Bears, fruit sours, and chocolate candy.
