About Zachary Candy

Zachary Confections was founded in Chicago in 1950 by J.J. Zachary and his wife, Helen. The family-owned company began by making seasonal chocolate candy, including solid and hollow chocolate bunnies, before expanding into a much larger collection of everyday and holiday sweets. Zachary moved its operations to Frankfort, Indiana, in 1984, where the company still manufactures its candy today. Candy corn and other Mello Creme candies joined the lineup in 2002, followed by jellies, JuJu candy, chocolate-covered products, pretzels, and other traditional sweets. Seasonal candy remains an important part of the Zachary brand, with products made for Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, and other occasions.
