About Vidal Candies

Vidal Candies was founded in 1963 by the Hernández Vicente family in Molina de Segura, Murcia, Spain. What began as a small local candy factory has grown into a major international confectionery manufacturer whose products are now sold in more than 90 countries. Vidal became an early Spanish producer of gummies, coated bubble gum, and marshmallows during the 1970s, and in 1979, the company became the first to manufacture extruded licorice candy using a continuous production process. Its well-known Licorice Bricks followed in 1981. Vidal continues to manufacture candy at its production center in Molina de Segura, Spain, while Vidal Candies USA handles the brand’s American market presence.
