Frito-Lay Recalls Chickpea Veggie Crisps Over Undeclared Milk Ingredients
In a proactive response to a potential health risk, Frito-Lay has recently announced a recall of their Chickpea Veggie Crisps, specifically the Off The Eaten Path brand. This recall, affecting an estimated 16,100 bags, is due to the accidental inclusion of milk ingredients which were not declared on the product’s packaging.
Following a customer’s feedback, this issue came to light, leading to a thorough investigation. The concern is particularly relevant for those with allergies or sensitivities to milk, as the accidental inclusion of these ingredients could lead to severe allergic reactions.
The product in question is packaged in 6 ¼ oz bags, identifiable by the UPC 02840020646, and expires on March 12, 2024. Customers should look for one of the following manufacturing codes on the packaging: 55432514MH, 55432516MH, or 55432517MH.
Currently, there have been no reports of allergic reactions caused by this product. However, Frito-Lay encourages customers who have purchased these crisps to avoid consuming them and to contact Off The Eaten Path Consumer Relations for further instructions.
