Another Cheez-It Flavor Bites the Dust
In recent news, Cheez-It has confirmed the discontinuation of its Sweet and Salty snack mix. The news came after a fan inquired about the product’s availability on X, formerly known as Twitter. “I loved those, but now I can’t ever find them,” the fan said.
“We’re just as devastated as you about the Cheez-It Sweet & Salty snack mix being discontinued,” responded the brand. The mix had several positive reviews online, which is why so many are shocked and disappointed.
The discontinued snack mix featured a unique mix of M&M’s milk chocolate pieces, salted pretzels, sugar corn squares, caramel-flavored popcorn, and original Cheez-It pieces.

More Cheez-It Discontinuations
Unfortunately, Cheez-It has also recently discontinued other flavors, including cheese pizza, cheeseburger, and the Puff’d Scorchin’ Hot Cheddar snack. The Puff’d lineup, which used paprika extract and natural flavors for its spicy kick, was introduced on January 31, 2022, but only lasted a short time on shelves.
Does Cheez-its come in a lite salt version?
Hi Pepper, thanks for the comment! That’s a great question! I looked into it for you and it looks like they only offer a reduced fat product, which contains about 2% less salt than the original. It’s not much, we hope to see healthier options this year as Kellanova now makes Cheez-It https://www.kellanova.com/ and they have an aggressive plan to make healthier snacks, as they are in high demand. We will continue to keep an eye out for this, thanks again for raising the question!
