Ring Pop

Invented by an engineer at Topps candy company, the Ring Pop debuted in the 1970s. The wearable lollipop features a large piece gemstone-shaped piece of hard candy on a plastic ring. The engineer designed the pop to discourage his daughter from sucking her thumb. The idea of using the pop as a thumb-sucking deterrent caught on.

The pops were originally available in Grape and Cherry. Over time, Topps added other flavors including Strawberry, Watermelon, Lime, Apple, and Blue Raspberry. The Sours line came out in the 1980s. Flavors included Sour Cherry Berry, Sour Watermelon, Sour Lemonade, Sour Green Apple, and Sour Raspberry Lemonade. The Twisted line consists of multi-flavored pops, including Berry Blast, Citrus Craze, Strawberry Ice Cream, and other creamy varieties. The Dallas Mavericks received Swarovski crystal-encrusted pops in Maveric Blue when they won the NBA championship. A line of gummy Ring Pops debuted in 2013.

Commercials in the 198s featured children in a variety of settings wearing and enjoying the pops. The brand's commercials and the memorable jingle were highly successful at marketing the pops. Adults have even used the pops as a fun prop in marriage proposals.

We carry the original line of Ring Pop candies in assorted flavors. We also have Twisted, a limited edition mix, Gummies, and Gummy Gems. The Gummy Gems line has a soft gummy ring shape with a liquid gel inside of the gummy gemstone. All varieties deliver wearable candy fun and children's parties, bachelorette events, and anytime you crave a sweet treat.
