Skittles Candy
Originally produced by a British company in 1974, Skittles remain a favored candy in the United States. In 1982, the colorful fruit candies were produced domestically in the U.S. for the first time.
Skittles candies are characterized by their thin colorful, crunchy outer shell and flavorful chewy center. The candy comes in bags with each bag consisting of a mixture of the tiny spherical candy pieces. The original flavors are Strawberry, Lemon, Lime, Orange, and Grape. There is also a Tropical variety, which is still in production today. Tropical flavors include Berry Banana, Kiwi Lime, Mango Tangelo, Pineapple Passion Fruit, and Strawberry Starfruit. In 1989, the brand introduced the Wild Berry variety. Wild Berry Flavors include Strawberry, Berry Punch, Melon Berry, Wild Cherry, and Raspberry.
In 2013, the brand replaced the Lime flavor with Sour Apple. The change was met by a public outcry. Lime continued to appear in other varieties including Dark Side and Orchards. At one point, there was even a single-flavor pack consisting only of the Lime candies. In 2021, the company announced they would be reversing the swap and bringing Lime back in the place of Sour Apple. Newer variations of the candy include Brightside, Sours, Smoothies, and Gummies. Brightside flavors include Watermelon, Kiwi Banana, Paradise Punch, Pink Lemonade, and Tangerine. The gummy candies are available in Original and Wild Berry.
We have standard Skittles in Original, Wild Berry, Smoothies, Gummies, Sours, and Brightside. We also have Mashup packs, which feature both the Wild Berry and Tropical variations in the same bag.
